What is a birth chart?
Your birth chart (also called a natal chart) is a snapshot of where the Sun, the Moon and the planets were at the exact minute and place you were born. It is drawn as a wheel: twelve signs around the edge, twelve houses inside, and lines between planets that form special angles.
Astrologers read it as a portrait of temperament rather than a fixed fate. It describes what comes naturally to you, what you need, and where you tend to meet friction — so you can work with yourself instead of against yourself.
What your free chart includes
The chart wheel, drawn from your exact birth data.
Your sun, moon and rising, each explained in full: who you’re becoming, what you need to feel safe, and how you meet the world.
Every planet in its sign and house, from Mercury to Pluto, with the opening of each reading. The complete readings, and what your houses and aspects mean for you, are in the Cazimi app.
Your houses and aspects as clear data, so you can see the structure behind it all.
How to read it
A simple way in: planets are the what, signs are the how, houses are the where. Venus is how you love; Venus in Cancer loves by caring and protecting; Venus in the 9th house finds love through travel, study or big ideas.
Start with your big three, then open the planets one by one. You don’t need to absorb it all at once — most people come back to their chart many times.
Why your birth time matters
Your rising sign changes roughly every two hours, and house positions depend on your birth time and place. Planetary signs usually change more slowly, but the Moon or another planet may change sign on your birth date.
If you choose an approximate or unknown time, the chart uses an assumed time. The displayed rising sign and houses are not confirmed birth placements. A single calculation also does not check whether planetary signs stay the same throughout that day. Check a birth certificate or hospital record when available.
